FROM 'DARK FORCES II: JEDI KNIGHT' VIDEO GAME Without a doubt, Gorc is a site to behold. His strength his almost unmatched and his size is overwhelming. Yet, in that massive head lies a feeble and simple mind, often incapable of speech or thought. Gorc relies on his much smaller and wittier brother Pic for strategy. Using a lightsaber built as big as he, Gorc wields the Dark Side with a primal ferocity and together with Pic, they are a deadly pair to behold. |

BASE FIGURES USED WWF Extreme Sweat Billy Gunn (Body, Left Arm, Head) WWF Extreme Sweat Ken Shamrock (Right Arm, Legs) G.I. Joe 12" figure's Gun Sight (Lightsaber Hilt)
ABOUT CUSTOMIZING THIS FIGURE This figure was one of those I thought'd be cool to make and would be pretty simple. Boy, I was wrong! I started by making Billy Gunn a fat slob by adding a lot of sculpy to his belly. Then, gave him a big red diaper and black sash. I painted him a leaf green like in the game, but I liked the antique gold color better so I went with that later on. His lightsaber originally was a tube that used to hold clicky pencil eraser refills, painted silver. But, it just looked crappy and I found this old G.I. Joe gun sight I hollowed out and used instead. It doesn't look exactly like Gorc's, but I like it. I sculpted the head from scratch and I think I did a fairly good job of it! His ear only broke off once too! The back of the head, or helmet rather, had to be redone from looking at reference more closely. The body armor was done with sculpy also and was by far the hardest part, probably because I had to have it symetrical and it had lots of ridges and curves. The feet were large, and so thats how I made them! Lots of sculpy was needed, but I sculpted them from scratch on top of the old feet. I finished up by making his wrist gauntlets (which are both exactly the same dimensions and are very exact to the reference pics) and the bicep rings. All from sculpy. I love that stuff! I finished the paint job by putting his blue freckles on. I tore off and end of a brush I had and glued it inside the hollowed-out lightsaber hilt for the blade. The hilt was painted and dry-brushed silver and black. Thats it! |
